GREETING STATEMENT TO FIRST ASIA-PACIFIC FESTIVAL IN VIETNAM

Dear President and members of the Committee:

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Cultural and Educational
Organization POLYTROPE MUSE and the POETRY CENTER FOR AVANT-GARDE
STUDIES, both organizations based in Athens, Greece, I would like to
congratulate you for the establishment of the FIRST ASIAN-PACIFIC
FESTIVAL which will take place in your city in February 2-3, 2012.

I truly believe that your Festival will add immensely to the
advancement and progress of literary studies in Vietnam and will
greatly assist poets, writers, and scholars domestically and
internationally to create an invaluable forum of readings and
exchanging ideas in the new Century.

ΘΕΣΕΙΣ ΕΡΓΑΣΙΑΣ ΑΠΟ ΤΗΝ ΠΟΛΥΤΡΟΠΟ ΜΟΥΣΑ

Η Πολύτροπος Μούσα συμβάλλει αποτελεσματικά στην καταπολέμηση της ανεργίας ειδικά ανάμεσα στους νέους επιστήμονες και καλλιτέχνες. Για το λόγο αυτό προσφέρει πολλές ευκαιρίες εργασίας στα μέλη της. Μεγάλος αριθμός θέσεων προσφέρεται για εργασίες σε άτομα που επιθυμούν να εργαστούν σε προγράμματα και ειδικά projects και πρωτοβουλίες, όπως είναι τα Ευρωπαικά Προγράμματα και όχι μόνο. Θέσεις προσφέρονται επίσης για οργάνωση εκδηλώσεων, διαλέξεων, φεστιβάλ, συνέργειες με άλλους οργανισμούς, διδασκαλία σεμιναρίων και μαθημάτων, πολιτιστικό τουρισμό, μεταφράσεις και ανάπτυξη της Πολυτρόπου Μούσας.

Κάποιες θέσεις εργασίας αναγγέλονται στο παρόν ιστολόγιο στο τμήμα Ευρεση Εργασίας, υπάρχουν όμως πολλές άλλες θέσεις που δεν αναγγέλονται εκεί και πρέπει να τις συμβουλευτείτε μαζί μας. Επίσης, θέμουμε να ακούσουμε τις ιδέες και τις πρωτοβουλίες των μελών μας για να τους συμβουλεύσουμε πώς μπορούν να αξιοποιηθούν επαγγελματικά.

Για να αναλάβετε οποιαδήποτε αμοιβόμενη εργασία πρέπει προηγουμένως να εγγραφείτε ως μέλη στον Οργανισμό μας.

POSTMILLENNIUM SMALL ARTISTIC VILLAGE COMMUNITIES

The Postmillennium Project is the initiative taken by Polytrope Muse which unites two significant efforts to carry arts and letters to the world, 1) the Network of Cultural Centers and 2) the adoption of smaller village communities to artistic and bellestristic rehubs.
Polytrope Muse is operating and managing this multi-million project and presents it to 21st century humanity to fight illiteracy, poverty, social injustice and stereotyping and economic underdevelopment. To this reason, Polytrope Muse accepts invitations from villages of less than 3000 inhabitants from any geographical region and in turn it signs an adoption proposal with international and institutional bodies of sponsors and givers to guarantee project success.

POLYTROPE MUSE NETWORK OF CULTURAL CENTERS

The Network of Cultural Centers is an initiative taken by Polytrope Muse to disseminate arts, words, images and peoples' expressions and lifestyles around the world. To achieve this goal Polytrope Muse acquires lands or historic buildings in various towns and traditional villages in various ways with partners and sponsors and creates for these spaces new meanings and messages for postmillennium generations. Cultural Centers could be established in any part of Europe or elsewhere being taken care of and managed by our invaluable multi-ethnic members worldwide. This is a multi-million project based on a "simple" innovative approach; we take inexpensive and not whatsoever used lands and buildings and we turned them into treasures for today's artists, intellectuals, ecologists, students, any other communities of change and later generations.

THE SCRIPT STORY OF "THE OTHER SEA" LAST FILM BY THEO ANGELOPOULOS

Synopis of the film in production:

The days before New Year’s in the great port of the country that is suffocating as a result of the financial crisis. On the roof of a factory occupied by striking workers, a nude striker throws his clothes down to the crowd that has gathered below to protest the layoffs. E., daughter of P., the city’s Deputy Mayor has joined a company of actors that is trying, with the participation of the strikers from the factories, to put on Brecht’s Threepenny Opera, reacting with this timely play to the suffocating situation that surrounds them. Her father owns a big auto repair shop in the city and at the same time runs an illegal operation trafficking immigrants from Greece to Italy hidden among the cargo in trucks. The nude striker finally jumps into the void. His funeral at night triggers a series of episodes. A huge protest rally during which as the result of the heavy rain the casket with the deceased is taken to the immigrants’ shantytown for shelter and then the flight of all to the ruins of a nearby factory where E. is sexually attracted to a young immigrant, Selab, who is also one of the actors in the play. The next day the police throw out the strikers and empty the factory. P. who bears the scars of his young wife abandoning him years ago when E. was a little girl, invites his daughter to a fashionable night club on New Year’s Eve so that they can both celebrate her birthday and drunkenly lets himself go in a solitary dance. On New Year’s Day, the opening night of the Opera the company of actors with E. have been rehearsing all this time does not take place. The police bars entry to the theater for fear of rioting by the crowd that has gathered in the square and throws out of a back door all those who managed to get in. Late at night the actors exit the theater and disperse. P. has become aware from the little love poems he finds in his daughter’s room of her relationship with Selab and after finding out from the Afghani who works in his gas station that his daughter’s young lover is leaving the next day in one of the trucks along with his friend Ali, fears that he is losing his daughter. That same night he arranges with one of his trusted truck drivers the murder of the young Iranian. Meanwhile the bulldozers level the immigrants’ settlement, an event that triggers massive rioting in the city which is divided into two camps. Terrified, the immigrants hide here and there in the dark corner of the city they call the Triangle of Death. E. discovers Selab hiding and their relationship is passionately consummated just as the Afghani who works in the gas station warns Ali that Selab is in danger. On her return home and from messages on her father’s voice mail, E. senses that Selab is in danger and rushes to the port just as the ship bound for Italy is getting ready to sail. The trucks with the young immigrants hiding inside them have passed the gate. E. can do nothing. Ali is mistakenly killed when he switches places with Selab who now sails away. E. reacts violently and is arrested. Late at night P.’s lawyer secures her release and she returns home. Now she knows it is her father who gave the order. When, later on, P. goes up to talk to her, aware that she knows, she is no longer at home. P. takes to the streets in search of her. He ends up at the departure pier in the port and waits inside his car. E. roams the city with her backpack slung over her shoulder. She goes to the spot where the company of actors has arranged to meet. They take their leave of her with the finale of the Threepenny Opera. Then, alone, she sets out for the port after telling her old friend, the director of the play, that she doesn’t know where she’s going. Perhaps to the other sea... In front of the gate through which the trucks bound for Italy enter, she sees her father. It is raining. Her father gets out of his car. He knows it’s all over. Crying, E. boards the ship which starts moving away from the dock. A shot is heard. P.’s gun on the pavement and his face covered with blood. E.’s ship heads towards the open sea. The day breaks.

GREEK FILMAKER THEO ANGELOPOULOS JUST DIED A FEW MOMENTS AGO...GREECE IN MOURNING FOR BEST GREEK FILMAKER

Theo Angelopoulos just died a few moments ago hit by accident by a motorcycle during his shootings of his last film. Angelopoulos was a world famous film director carrying Greek Cinema to every particular area in this small planet. Anti-conformist and critical he created a cinema of infallible screenings and very artistic imagination. He was multi-talented and completely dedicated to his work. May his memory be eternal !!!

ΕΘΝΙΚΟ ΠΕΝΘΟΣ ΓΙΑ ΤΟΝ ΜΕΓΑΛΟ ΕΛΛΗΝΑ ΣΚΗΝΟΘΕΤΗ ΘΟΔΩΡΟ ΑΓΓΕΛΟΠΟΥΛΟ

"Πριν λίγα λεπτά έχασε τη μάχη για τη ζωή ο μεγάλος Ελληνας σκηνοθέτης Θόδωρος Αγγελόπουλος. Η ειρωνεία της τύχης ήταν να χτυπηθεί θανάσιμα την ώρα των γυρισμάτων της νέας ταινίας του σε τροχαίο δυστύχημα αφού παρασύρθηκε από μοτοσυκλέττα που οδηγούσε ειδικός φρουρός της αστυνομίας. Ο Θεόδωρος Αγγελόπουλος ήταν μία πολύ μεγάλη μορφή του παγκόσμιου κινηματογράφου, δημιούργησε ένα δικό του προσωπικό ποιητικό στύλ κάνοντας τον Ελληνικό κινηματογράφο γνωστό σε όλο τον κόσμο. Ολες του οι ταινίες ήταν ποιητικά αριστουργήματα και θα σημαδεύουν αιώνια την πορεία του κινηματογράφου στην Ελλάδα και στον κόσμο. Θα τον θυμόμαστε πάντα...Θερμά συλληπητήρια στην οικογένεια και τα παιδιά του"

Τον Ιούνιο διαγωνισμός ΑΣΕΠ εκπαιδευτικών για την Ειδική Αγωγή

Το δεύτερο δεκαπενθήμερο του ερχόμενου Ιουνίου θα διενεργηθεί διαγωνισμός ΑΣΕΠ εκπαιδευτικών, μόνο όμως για την Ειδική Αγωγή.

;Oπως προέκυψε από συνάντηση που είχαν προχθές η ηγεσία του υπουργείου Παιδείας με τον πρόεδρο του ΑΣΕΠ κ.Γ. Βέη, ο νέος διαγωνισμός θα αφορά σε 500 θέσεις ΠΕ61 και ΠΕ71, για τις σχολικές χρονιές 2012-2013 και 2013-2014.

Παράλληλα, εξετάζεται η δυνατότητα διεξαγωγής διαγωνισμού ΑΣΕΠ για τις ειδικότητες ΠΕ02 και ΠΕ03 με τοποθέτηση σε δομές Ειδικής Αγωγής.

Στη συνάντηση συζητήθηκαν το πλαίσιο και οι τεχνικές λεπτομέρειες διεξαγωγής του διαγωνισμού ΑΣΕΠ Ειδικής Αγωγής, για τις ειδικότητες ΠΕ61 και ΠΕ71 με ανάθεση στις δομές Ειδικής Αγωγής (Ειδικά Δημοτικά Σχολεία, Εργαστήρια Ειδικής Επαγγελματικής Εκπαίδευσης και Κατάρτισης-ΕΕΕΕΚ, Τμήματα Ένταξης, Παράλληλη Στήριξη, Κατ’ οίκον Διδασκαλία).

NEO ΠΡΟΓΡΑΜΜΑ ΞΕΝΑΓΗΣΗΣ ΣΧΟΛΕΙΩΝ ΣΕ ΜΟΥΣΕΙΑ ΚΑΤΑ ΤΗΝ ΠΑΓΚΟΣΜΙΑ ΗΜΕΡΑ ΤΩΝ ΜΟΥΣΕΙΩΝ ΣΤΙΣ 18-20 ΜΑΙΟΥ 2012

Τριήμερο ξεναγήσεων Σχολείων σε Μουσεία επ' ευκαιρία της Παγκόσμιας Ημέρας Μουσείων εγκαινιάζει από φέτος η Πολύτροπος Μούσα. Οι μαθητές κατά την τριήμερη διαμονή τους στην Αθήνα στο διάστημα 18-20 Μαίου θα μπορούν να επισκέπτονται και να ξεναγούνται από ειδικευμένους Αρχαιολόγους και Κριτικούς Τέχνης συνεργάτες της Πολυτρόπου Μούσας σε διάφορα Μουσεία όπως το Εθνικό Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο, το Νέο Μουσείο της Ακρόπολης, το Βυζαντινό Μουσείο, το Μουσείο Μπενάκη, το Ιδρυμα Μείζονος Ελληνισμού και το Μουσείο Σύγχρονης Τέχνης. Επισκέψεις επίσης θα οργανώνονται στον Ιερό Χώρο της Ακροπόλεως και τον Κεραμεικό.

Παράλληλα θα υπάρξει βραδυνό Συμπόσιο με Αρχαιοελληνικά εδέσματα και ποτά και Αρχαιοελληνική Μουσική και Χορό. Σχολεία που ενδιαφέρονται να συμμετάσχουν στο Πρόγραμμα πρέπει να επικοινωνήσουν στο email poetics999@gmail.com ή στο τηλέφωνο 6978409158.

ΝΕΩΤΕΡΑ ΓΙΑ ΤΟ ΠΟΛΙΤΙΣΤΙΚΟ ΚΕΝΤΡΟ ΣΕΛΛΑ ΜΕΣΣΗΝΙΑΣ

Παρά την πολύ δύσκολη οικονομική συγκυρία οι προσπάθειες για το Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο θα ευοδωθούν γιατί το πιστεύουμε και γιατί το επιθυμούμε διακαώς να προσφέρουμε μέλλον και ζωή στην περιοχή αυτή της Τριφυλίας. Από φέτος ελπίζουμε θα λειτουργήσει το Φεστιβάλ το οποίο θέλουμε να καθιερώσουμε ως ετήσιο γεγονός. Ηδη γίνονται οι προετοιμασίες γι' αυτό. Φέτος η Πολύτροπος Μούσα έχει όμως και ανειλημμένες υποχρεώσεις μέ τους Ολυμπιακούς Αγώνες του Λονδίνου και της Κυπριακή Ευρωπαική Προεδρία. Συζητήσεις επίσης γίνονται με θεσμικούς εταίρους από το εξωτερικό για την αξιοποίηση του Σελλά και του Πολιτιστικού Κέντρου.

Η Πολύτροπος Μούσα εγκαινιάζει Δίκτυο για τον Ακριτικό Ελληνισμό. Το Δίκτυο αυτό αφορά δράσεις και πρωτοβουλίες σε ευαισθητοποιημένες περιοχές του Ακριτικού Ελληνισμού. Το Δίκτυο βρίσκεται υπό διαμόρφωσιν και δέχεται ιδέες, πρωτοβουλίες, εθελοντές μέλη και φίλους, συνεργάτες και υποστήριξη.
Μέχρι στιγμής στον Ακριτικό Ελληνισμό έχουμε εντάξει τις παρακάτω περιοχές:

On November 12th 2012, 20 years will be completed from Gregory Markopoulos's passing away to eternity.
Gregory was the best ever filmaker in the history of avant-garde cinema and his work has not met the scholarly and critical appreciation it truly deserves.
Polytrope Muse and the Center for Avant-Garde Studies will organize an event to his memory. We accept ideas for this event. It may be a site event in Athens or elsewhere or an event via Web for the international communities or both.

Description:	The Elizabeth Kostova Foundation offers its fifth annual summer fiction writing seminar in the ancient town of Sozopol (Apollonia), Bulgaria. The seminar program consists of intensive daily fiction workshops, roundtable discussions, guest lectures and literary readings by faculty and participants. Fiction writers from Bulgaria and fiction writers from English-speaking countries, including but not limited to the U.S. and the U.K., are invited to apply. A total number of ten applicants will be selected for participation and funding. PROGRAM AND FACULTY: Morning workshops will be led in English by Elizabeth Kostova (US), the author of the best-selling novel "The Historian" (2005) and "The Swan Thieves" (2010), and in Bulgarian by Krassimir Damianov (BG/ESP), the author of "Diary of a Butterfly" (2008) and "The House of the Hanged" (2009). Guest lectures will be provided by Barry Lopez (US), the author of the award-winning "Of Wolves and Men" (1978, 1979, 2004) and "Arctic Dreams" (1986, 2001), and Deyan Enev (BG), an award-winning writer, the author of "Everyone on the Bow of the Boat" (2005) and "Circus Bulgaria" (2010). The program in Sozopol, Bulgaria, includes also roundtable discussions, meetings with distinguished international and Bulgarian editors, publishers, translators, as well as literary readings. One-day follow-up events are usually organized in Sofia, Bulgaria, as part of the long-term program of the Elizabeth Kostova Foundation called "CapitaLiterature" (2011-2019). ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: All fiction writers working in English or Bulgarian are eligible to apply, regardless of publication record and educational status. Acceptance will be based on the quality of the submitted writing sample, on the statement of purpose and on the letter of reference. Neither are the applicants from English-speaking countries required to have knowledge of Bulgarian language, nor are the Bulgarian applicants required to have knowledge of English, although either would be helpful. APPLICATION PROCESS: In order to apply, the applicants must complete an online submission form and attach all the required application materials to it: a biography, a statement of purpose and a fiction writing sample of 10-20 pages.
