The Departmental Villa Marguerite Yourcenar's mission is to host writers so they can write in a secluded and peaceful, but also to discover their work to an audience mainly French who do not know enough.

Location
The Villa Marguerite Yourcenar Departmental-old family estate of the writer Marguerite Yourcenar, and the park surrounding it belong to the Northern Department (France). The regional park Marguerite Yourcenar (36 hectares) is located in the town of St. Jans Cappel, on the Belgian border, between the cities of Ypres (Belgium, 15 km) and Bailleul (France, 6 km), about forty miles of Dunkirk and Lille (France), about sixty kilometers from the coast of Ramsgate (United Kingdom).
The Villa Marguerite Yourcenar Departmental-old family estate of the writer Marguerite Yourcenar, and the park surrounding it belong to the Northern Department (France). Sleeps
Three writers of different nationalities can be accommodated simultaneously with the Departmental Villa Marguerite Yourcenar. Everyone will find, on the floor, a studio equipped with a private bathroom.
A library, a kitchen, computer room (with photocopier, printer and Internet access), dining areas are available to residents.

Housing conditions
Departmental Villa Marguerite Yourcenar provides writers resident housing, breakfast and dinner. (The phone calls and lunch are the responsibility of residents)
trip (return) writers residents from their place of residence is supported by the Department du Nord (France). Tickets for train or plane will be controlled by the secretariat of the House a month before the start of the holiday. To ride a car, a mileage fee system is planned.
The writers residents are on site for bicycles, a car for personal trips. Bailleul Station (6 miles) serves Lille (30 min) and Paris via Lille (1:30).
Writers residents receive a monthly stipend, paid into their bank account by bank transfer 35 days after the start of the residence.
